White Wines

Botobolar's commitment to minimum input during the winemaking process is exemplified by these four white wines. All are made in a low-preservative style, they contain approx 40-60% less sulphur dioxide, added as an anti-oxidant, than most commercial white wines. These wines are recommended for everyday drinking for those who suffer mildly from allergies. All wines are suitable for medium term cellaring. Please note we can only ship in dozens! Qty: 2009 Chardonnay Low Preservative Unit Single Bottle Straight Dozen Sourced from Thistle Hill Organic Vineyard - Mudgee Colour Bright straw Nose citrus blossom Palate rich fruit flavours with touches of melon, lemon and vanilla. A lighter, very "gluggable" style! Best drunk while young, fresh and crisp. Enjoy with good friends and good food on a warm winters day! Analysis Alcohol 11.5% Sulphur dioxide 96ppm

Qty: Rain Goddess Dry White 2008 Unit Single Bottle Straight Dozen Colour Pale straw Nose Floral with ripe fruit overtones Palate Pleasant light crisp flavours. Tinges of citrus enhance the flinty mineral charachter and a soft rounded lasting finish. Enjoy with a savoury afternoon tea! Analysis Alcohol 13.0% Sulphur dioxide 78ppm

Qty: Semillon 2009 Unit Single Bottle Straight Dozen Sourced from Elliot Rocke Vineyards, Mudgee Colour Pale gold with green hues Nose Herbaceous and lightly floral and lemony Palate Elegant and crisp, lemon flavours dominate with hints of pineapple. A delicious wine low in sulfur but crafted from conventionally farmed grapes. Will benefit from cellaring to furthur develop the flavours, as recommended by KK. However, not bad now with a plate of fresh sushi! Analysis alc/vol: 12.5% Sulphur Dioxide: 63ppm

Qty: The Fool Riesling 2008 Unit Single Bottle Straight Dozen Sourced from Thistle Hill Organic Vineyard Mudgee Colour Bright gold with green tinges Nose Fresh Carnations and cut grass Palate Luscious sweet fruit with good acid balance, not cloting. Citrus zest and a lingering zippy finish round out the palate. Analysis Alcohol 12.00% Sulphur Dioxide 78ppm
