Welcome to Australia's Oldest Organic Vineyard
Old vines + organically grown grapes+ hand picked & hand made wines = Great Value

Botobolar's 22-hectare vineyard established in 1971 is Australia's oldest certified organic vineyard, the vines have always been grown organically without the use of pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers.
Growing grape vines organically in balance with the environment, not demanding too much from them or the soil, hand picking and pruning, and creating handmade wines all combine to deliver to you, good value premium organic wines.
Botobolar's organic dryland vineyard is famous for its rich and spicy Shiraz, chocolate and mint Cabernet Sauvignon, Busby clone Chardonnay, and Marsanne varieties. This bit of earth delivers some of the best grapes in the district.
Botobolar is also known for its Preservative Free and Low Preservative Wines. Again a pioneer in this field we are the original creator of organic preservative free wine and have been producing it since 1984....'the original..'.

Sydney based artist Gillian Johnston will be exhibiting her paintings during Mudgee's 'September Wine Festival' at the Botobolar Cellar door.‘Vessels’ will open Thursday Night September 2nd with exhibition continuing throughout month.
"My work has primarily been concerned with my immediate surroundings, from birds, buildings in the landscape, to fruit, jugs and bowls. I have tried to focus on colour, form, patterns and surfaces.
This year I have become obsessed with vessels in all shapes, sizes and colour, so I have concentrated on the fluid nature of these rounded shapes and painted in colours that feel harmonious and serene."
